I am a master's student in Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Zurich, with a particular interest in embodiment, sensory experience, and material culture.

My work moves between ethnographic research, photography, and personal writing. I am interested in how we experience and make sense of the world through our bodies, and how everyday encounters with people, objects, and spaces shape the ways we feel, know, and relate to our surroundings.

My recent fieldwork in China has explored the material and sensory dimensions of care in blind massage practices, as well as the cultural lives of embroidered textiles among Miao communities in Guizhou. Across these projects, I am drawn to the often overlooked gestures, bodily practices, and material details through which everyday life unfolds.

And if you happened to be at Coop Eleven in Zürich Oerlikon last Saturday and spotted an Asian weirdo taking pictures of oranges with a vintage Polaroid camera — yes, that was me ;)
